Another Wonderful Day At Sea

Success! This morning Keith woke up at the correct time for our morning workout. More on that in a moment. We wanted to share some additional information about last evening.

We had a wonderful time at the Cruise Critic get-together last evening. We are very appreciative to Crystal for organizing this for us. It was a pleasure to meet others who we have not had the pleasure of meeting before. We had a great turnout and we also were appreciative that many of the officers who attended spent as much time as they did with us. As we mentioned earlier, this is the first solo sailing for the Captain with Crystal and we really appreciated that he not only attended this event but stayed for almost its entire duration.

We also wanted to mention how much we enjoyed Silk Road last evening. We have enjoyed Silk Road on the Crystal since the first time we sailed on her. We think the décor of the new Silk Road on the Symphony is just outstanding. And, we have to note that the food that we had last evening was probably the best of the food we have ever eaten at Silk Road. We plan to dine at Silk Road several times during this cruise. All of the food was just wonderful.

Anne Marie is still not feeling well so she stayed in the room this morning while Keith worked out. Keith began his workout at around 5:00 AM and was the first one working out but mid-way through the workout there was actually others passengers working out. By the time he left, eight other passengers were up there. Once again, Keith enjoyed the Elliptical Machine. We find that working out on the cruise ship is so easy.

When Keith got back to our room, he did another wash. He is become quite the laundry man. ☺ We enjoyed another nice breakfast in our room and then Anne Marie went to see the doctor again. She also went back to see the doctor again later in the afternoon. She is taking the inhaling misting machine. Can’t remember the precise name.

Lots of lectures and other activities throughout the day. Ambassador Peck gave a lecture in the morning and Magician Mark Haslam gave a lecture titled “The Story of Houdini”.

There was Rap with the Rabbi which was very nicely attended. The Rabbi will be doing these every two days.

After the Rap, there was Team Trivia. We had a nice score but not good enough to finish in first place. We know we will do better tomorrow. ☺

After trivia, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the Main Dining Room.

Given the theme of this cruise they are showing three different movies each day rather than two as they normally do. Our travel consortium arranged for wine tasting today and also has a couple of other events during the course of the cruise. There are seventy passengers on board the ship who are booked with travel specialists who are part of this travel consortium, which represents quite a few passengers.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the main dining room. The service and the food have been outstanding.

With Anne Marie under the weather we have not attended the evening shows or other performances. Hopefully, she will be better soon and we will do that.
